Description
Special structural steel.
Applications
Highly stressed, case hardened dies for artificial resin, of low deforming.
Physical properties (avarage values) at ambient temperature
Modulus of elasticity [103 x N/mm2]: 210
Density [g/cm3]: 7.80
Soft Annealing
Heat to 680-700oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 260.
Normalization
Temperature: 900oC, air.
Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 840-870oC followed by oil or air quenching.
Tempering
Tempering temperature: Please see the data bellow.
