Description Non alloy special structural steel. Applications Heat-treatable steels: Automobile- and motor construction, mechanical engineering. Physical properties (avarage values) at ambient temperature Modulus of elasticity [10³ x N/mm²]: 210 Density [g/cm³]: 7.85 Soft Annealing Heat to 650-700^oC, cool slowly in furnace. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 229. Normalizing Normalizing temperature: 825-865^oC. Hardening Harden from a temperature of 805-845^oC followed by oil or water quenching.
