Quenched and Tempered (+QT) of DIN 36CrNiMo4 Steel
1. Heat 1.6511 steel slowly to the temperature of 860°C;
2. Soak at this hardening temperature and quench in oil;
3. Temper as soon as 36CrNiMo4 steel reach room temperature.
4. Heat uniformly to the suitable temperature;
5. Withdraw from the furnace and cool in the air.
6. The usual tempering temperature is 200°C which also depending on the actual requirements.
Applications of W-Nr 1.6511 Steel
DIN 36CrNiMo4 alloy steel is widely used in permanently stressed components with large cross sections for automotive and mechanical engineering. This material is also good for economic performance under severe dynamic stress and parts must be designed for optimum strength or toughness.
