Description
Low alloyed cold working tool steel with Mn, Cr and Mo.Applications
Through-hardenable. Roller bearings.Physical properties (avarage values) at ambient temperature
Modulus of elasticity [103 x N/mm2]: 210
Density [g/cm3]: 7.80Soft Annealing
Heat to approx. 750oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 217.Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 800-850oC followed by oil quenching. Hardness after quenching is approx. 59 HRC.Tempering
Tempering temperature: 100-250oC.Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1050-850oC.Machinability
