Physical properties (avarage values) at ambient temperature
Modulus of elasticity [103 x N/mm2]: 210
Density [g/cm3]: 7.85
Soft Annealing
Heat to 680-700oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 225.
Normalizing
Temperature: 830-850oC.
Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 790-830oC followed by oil quenching.
Tempering
Tempering temperature: 450-520oC, 550-650oC.
