Soft Annealing
Heat to 680-700oC, cool slowly in furnace. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 207.
Treated to Hardness Range
Temperature: 850-950oC.
Treated Ferrite-Pearlite Microstructure and Hardness Range
Temperature: 900-1000oC.
Carburise
1. 840-880oC, salth bath 580-680oC.
2. 840-880oC, air.
3. 840-880oC, case hardening box.
4. 840-880oC, water or oil.
Core Hardening
Temperature: 820-850oC.
Surface Hardening
Temperature: 810-830oC, hot quenching, 810-830oC, oil.
Intermediate Annealing
Temperature: 650-680oC.
Tempering
Tempering temperature: 150-180oC.
Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1050-850oC.
